Dumbbell Bench Press

The dumbbell bench press will target the middle part of the chest.

The dumbbell bench press will target the middle part of the chest.

Muscles Involved in order of importance:


  • Chest (pectorals)
  • Front Delttoids (shoulders)
  • Triceps

To perform this exercise lie back onto a flat bench and take hold of a pair of dumbbells, and hold them straight up above your head.
Then lower the dumbbells slowly untill you can feel a strech in your chest keeping the weights in a controlled movement and do not forget to breath in. ,
Push the weights straight up to the starting posistion untill your elbows are locked out and remember to exhale as you do this.

Safety: Doing this exercise should be done with a spotter if you think the weight will be a bit too much, I also have a spotter when doing this exercise just to be on the safe side.
